AhlulBayt News Agency: Israeli forces have shot and killed four young Palestinian men during a raid in the northeastern sector of the West Bank, according to Palestinian security sources. The violence in the occupied region continues to escalate.
Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that undercover Israeli special forces stormed the town of Tammun, located five kilometers south of Tubas, on Thursday. The forces surrounded a house before sending military reinforcements into the area.
The four young men were killed after Israeli occupation troops besieged them inside the house and launched several missiles at the building. Following the attack, Israeli forces entered the residence and took their bodies away.
Hours earlier, another Palestinian man was shot and wounded by Israeli occupation forces during a raid in the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya. Local sources reported that Israeli troops broke into the town, sparking clashes. During the confrontation, soldiers opened fire, hitting the young man in the back.
Reports indicate that Israeli soldiers fired heavily and attempted to prevent ambulances from reaching the injured individual.
The Israeli military launched its assault on the occupied West Bank on January 21, claiming that its objective was to target resistance fighters linked to the Jenin Battalion.
Since the beginning of the war on Gaza in October 2023, at least 962 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli troops and illegal settlers in the West Bank, with more than 7,000 others injured, according to Palestinian figures.
In July, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled that Israel’s long-standing occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal and demanded the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East al-Quds.
