Saudi Arabia trains 1,500 personnel to guide Hajj pilgrims

Saudi Arabia has deployed hundreds of trained personnel equipped with smart technology to guide buses transporting Hajj pilgrims. The initiative, led by the Guidance Centre for Buses Transporting Pilgrims from Abroad, features a 24/7 monitoring system and the Arshadni digital platform to enhance transportation efficiency.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Hundreds of personnel have been trained and equipped with smart devices to assist in guiding buses transporting Hajj pilgrims in and around the holy city of Mecca.

The Guidance Centre for Buses Transporting Pilgrims from Abroad, overseen by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj, has announced the successful completion of its operational and technical plans for this year’s Hajj season.

As part of the initiative, more than 1,500 personnel have been trained in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure comprehensive guidance services for pilgrims.

According to Abdullah Sindi, the head of the center, over 1,200 field guides have been equipped with smart devices that allow real-time monitoring and navigation of buses, ensuring efficient transit.

These smart devices are linked to a 24/7 control facility that tracks bus movements live, ensuring timely arrivals at designated accommodations.

Additionally, more than 300 administrative and field personnel, primarily young Saudis, are working to support the guides and facilitate smooth traffic management.

The center is utilizing the Arshadni (Guide Me) digital platform, an integrated smart system that enables real-time tracking of buses and instant updates on trip data.

Sindi explained that bus guidance operations commence at key transportation hubs, including the main terminal in Al Nuwariyah and the Haramain high-speed train station in Mecca.

At these locations, digital systems ensure seamless reception of pilgrims, integrating with the Hajj and Umrah Information Center for efficient registration and organized transport to accommodations.

This digitally driven approach is designed to streamline pilgrim movement, making their journey as smooth and hassle-free as possible.
