AhlulBayt News Agency: The Friday prayer leader of Baghdad, Iraq, stressed the continuation of resistance against the Zionist regime, describing it as never-ending.The Friday prayer leader of Baghdad, Iraq, stressed the continuation of resistance against the Zionist regime, describing it as never-ending.

Ayatollah Seyed Yaseen al-Mousawi referred to the funeral of former Hezbollah leader Sayed Hassan Nasrallah and said the magnificent presence of people in the funeral demonstrated Nasrallah’s status and role in leading the resistance against Israel.

He said Nasrallah led an extensive resistance front that included Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and other countries.

Stressing that the determining factor in this battle is not weapons and military equipment but faith and determination, he said Nasrallah proved that faith and strong resolve can bring about victory.

He went on to say that the symbolic funeral processions held in a number of Iraqi cities as well as in Iran, Yemen, and Bahrain proved that the spirit of resistance is alive.

Ayatollah al-Mousawi added that the martyrdom of Nasrallah does not mean an end to the confrontation with the Israeli regime as the Muslim and Arab Ummah is capable of standing up to challenges.

The funeral of Nasrallah and Sayed Hashem Safieddine, another senior Hezbollah figure, was held in Beirut on February 24.

Nasrallah was assassinated in Israel’s strikes on southern Beirut on September 27, 2024, following the Israeli regime’s week-long bombing campaign that hit many areas from the country’s south to the capital.

Safieddine was also assassinated in an Israeli attack on October 3, 2024.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah al-Mousawi referred to the attempts at normalization of ties with Israel and escribed it as a major challenge for the Muslim Ummah.

A minority in some Muslim countries pursue normalization with the occupation entity while the majority of the people reject such a move and consider it submission to the Tel Aviv regime, the cleric stated.

Some say normalization will bring about peace and welfare to the region but it will only lead to the Zionist regime’s domination, he said, stressing that the Muslim Ummah will reject such moves.
