Ayatollah Seyyed Yassin Mousavi, a prominent professor at Najaf Seminary, in his speech at the Madinat al-Ilm School, highlighted the importance of taking advantage of the opportunities available to Iraqis in the current period, saying, "These opportunities before us may not last forever." He cited a narration from the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH), who said: “Take advantage of opportunities, for they pass quickly.”
The Iraqi scholar also emphasized that the current opportunities provided to Iraqis to freely speak about their religious and worldly interests are a blessing.
Ayatollah Mousavi further pointed out that such opportunities have existed only for a short period in Iraqi history, such as the monarchy and part of the republican period, but these opportunities disappeared with the rise of the communists and the great oppression that was inflicted on Iraq.
“The main center of power in the world today is the United States of America, but Iran is the only country in the region that has been able to maintain its independence and resist American hegemony.” He concluded.
