In support of Palestinian people top Iranian chess player refused to play against Zionist opponent

The Iranian chess player in the 2024 Rapid World Championship in New York refused to play against the Zionist regime's representative in support of the Palestinian people.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Iranian chess player in the 2024 Rapid World Championship in New York refused to play against the Zionist regime's representative in support of the Palestinian people.

The 26th Rapid World Chess Championship was held in New York, USA. Grandmaster Ehsan Ghaem Maghami defeated FIDE Master Mark Smirnov from Kazakhstan in the sixth round of the competition and did not play against Boris Gelfand from the Zionist regime in the seventh round in support of the oppressed Palestinian people.

It is worth noting that the athletes of the Zionist regime have been in isolation for a long time. In recent years, we have seen many times that athletes from Muslim countries around the world have refused to compete with athletes from the Zionist regime in support of the oppressed Palestinian people. Iranian athletes have been the pioneers of this issue so far.
