Ahlulbayt News Agency: Allama Syed Sabteen Haider Sabzwari, President Shia Ulema Council North Punjab, condemned the targeted killing of muezzin and worshiper in Bazaat Rasool Chak No. 376 GB Jaranwala and the targeted killing of muezzin in Bahawalnagar to spread unrest and sectarianism in the country. He also termed said two incidences a conspiracy against Shia Community.
He convened a meeting of the cabinet of Shia Ulema Council North Punjab in Lahore on Saturday to consider the situation of killing of worshipers in mosques and for future course of action.
Sabzwari said that foreign takfiri terrorist elements were threatening followers of Maktab Ahl-e-Bayt on social media to bring back the 1990s era in the country.
He added that the recent provocative video of a riotous cleric from Islamabad has not been noticed yet, law enforcement agencies have remained silent spectators. He said that the peace loving people of Millat e Jaffaria should not be considered as our cowardice, we also have the strength to respond but the security of the homeland is dear to us, therefore we are still silent.
He further said that government agencies should take notice of the incidents of targeted killings and effective measures should be taken to curb them.
