AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Hamas official Osama Hamdan described, in press statements on Friday, his Movement’s relations with Tehran as “excellent”.
Speaking to Araby21, the Hamas official stressed that his group is keen to have good relations with all Islamic nations.
Tehran has long stood by the Palestinian cause financially and militarily, he added.
Concerning Hamas's relation with the Syrian regime, Hamdan said that any step to restore relations with Damascus will be clearly declared.
Hamas is also keen to maintain a good bilateral relationship with Egypt, he said.
He pointed out that Egyptian efforts to reach a Palestinian reconciliation are still ongoing, saying that the problem is that there is no willingness, on the part of the other side, to implement what have been agreed upon before.
On the other hand, Hamdan said that Hamas Movement will not stand idly while thousands of Palestinian resistance fighters and youths are held in Israeli jails.
“We will continue our efforts till all Palestinian prisoners are liberated from Israeli jails, even if it means capturing more Israeli soldiers”, he added.
