AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Leader of the Fatah Alliance Hadi Al-Amiri and Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl Al-Haq resistance group Sheikh Qais al-Khazali called for clarification of the fate and determination of the presence of US troops in their country.
On the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the deportation of the US forces from Iraq on December 31, 2011, Hadi Al-Amiri and Sheikh Qais al-Khazali on Saturday highlighted that the number, location and type of the US troops in Iraq's soil must be determined.
Al- Amiri said at the ceremony that the existence of the US troops is currently lacking any legal justification on Iraqi soil.
Al- Khazali also emphasized that in order to explain the status of the presence of the US troops in Iraq, the parliament must decide, since it is a legal matter rather than it is political or publicization, because it is against the constitution of Iraq.
He added that no one in Iraq, including the government of this country, is currently aware of the actual number of the US troops and the possibility of their presence and type of troops on Iraqi soil.
Al-Amiri added, 'As the people, the supreme religious authority and political factions, the Iraqi government and parliament in 2011 opposed the presence of US occupation forces, they are now opposed to the presence of these forces in their lands.”
