AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Israeli authorities have banned the 17-year-old Palestinian icon, Ahed al-Tamimi, along with her family from traveling abroad.
According to Ahed al-Tamimi’s father, Basem al-Tamimi, the entire family was planning on traveling to Europe through Jordan, however Palestinian authorities informed the family that Israel had banned them from traveling abroad.
Basem said that the family planned on leaving on Friday morning and that the purpose of their travels was to attend several events to discuss the Palestinian resistance movement and Ahed’s experience during her eight-month imprisonment by Israel.
Basem added that Israel did not give a reason for the ban.
The ban comes almost two months after Ahed was released from Israeli Sharon prison.
Additionally, since Ahed’s detention, she has received worldwide media coverage and has become the image of dozens of solidarity campaigns across the world demanding her release from Israeli prison, and an end to Israeli detention of Palestinian children.
