Detainees in Bahrain’s Jaw Prison suffering from skin diseases denied treatment

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Fresh reports of Bahraini prisoners being denied access to proper medical care surfaced on Friday.

The Vice President at SALAM for Democracy and Human Rights Said Yousif Almuhafdah reported in a Twitter post that scores of inmates in Bahrain’s Jaw Prison are suffering from skin diseases.

“Measures have not been taken to address the matter and they are still denied their right to treatment,” Almuhafdah tweeted. “There are concerns about their health.”

Last week, prisoners released a joint statement alleging ‘continuous and systematic’ abuses at the detention facility.
