Muslim women in Bristol gathered to look at how they can make a stand against ISIS and combat extremism and radicalisation in their communities.
The making a stand event (#MakingAStand) saw around 30 women talk about their experiences and gave them an opportunity to share ways they can make a difference.
Organised by Inspire, the workshop took place six months after 15-year-old Yusra Hussien fled her Easton home and headed to Syria, where she is thought to have become a terrorist bride.
Among the women at the event was mum-of-five children aged from five to teens, Naeema Ibrahim from Speedwell.
"I have learnt a lot about bringing the community together. We as women are very powerful and we can work together to make a change and integrate people," she said.
UWE student Hiba Ali, 22, moved to Bristol from Finland and said she was shocked at how segregated communities were in the city.
"I've found the event really interesting and it has given me a lot more confidence to speak up," she said.
