Going on a pilgrimage for a pilgrim coming from a very far distant probably as his first and last pilgrimage is much different. Shabir Hussein is one of those pilgrims coming for the first time to Mashhad from India, Kashmir.
“Upon seeing the dome of the holy shrine I was so excited that I shed into tears involuntarily”, he described his feeling.
Noting that he is the speaker of the labor union as well as the director of the organization of blood transportation, he added, “Kashmir people either Muslim or non-Muslim are extremely devoted to Imam Reza (A.S.).”
Shabir viewed the programs of Office of Non-Iranian Pilgrims’ Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi valuable in creating and promoting the Razavi and Islamic culture and added, “I have also traveled to such sacred premises as Najaf, Karbala, and Syria but nowhere the cultural programs were presented in foreign languages.”
Noting that Kashmir people are so needy of the knowledge of the Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.), he asserted, “My greatest wish is to be appointed as a cultural servant by Astan Quds Razavi so as to be able to act for propagating the culture of the Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.).”
Referring to a tradition of Imam Reza (A.S.) as to “whoever visit me in strangeness, I will also visit him in several places including at the time of dying, passing the Pathway, and the day of reckoning”, he said, “I hope Imam Reza (A.S.) help us in the Hereafter the same that he helps and favors us in the world.”
“I hope I can visit the holy shrine in near future once more”, Shabir prospected.
