Saudi Top Shia Cleric: Religious prejudice is a reason for political clashes

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) Hujjat-ol-Islam Sheikh Hassan Saffar, Friday prayer leader of Qatif in Saudi Arabia, in an interview with Al Koot channel in Kuwait noted,” Bombing, murder and terrorism which is happening in the world of Islam is not merely due to religious elements but political tensions also lead to such incidents.”He added,” Some political organizations make use of Takfiri terrorist groups in order to achieve their objectives in clashes between political groups.”Saudi cleric warned against continuation of violence in the world of Islam and stated,” If Islamic nation does not confront with political tyranny and nations do not come to national agreement then this situation will continue.”He slammed desecration of sanctities of other religions and denominations and said this culture is in contrast with the lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and recommendations of our jurisprudents.Shaikh Hassan Saffar added,” We cannot keep silent against measures which are in contrast with teachings of Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) on the other hand it is unacceptable to commit terrorist attacks under the same pretext.”He also stressed importance of convergence and dialogue among different Islamic denominations and stated,” Confrontation with proximity plans in the world of Islam is not acceptable and Islamic unity is a big achievement.” /149
