Glorious Ceremony of Dust-Cleaning the Holy Burial Chamber of Imam Reza (A.S.) / Pics

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Coincident with the Eid of Mabath (Prophetic mission of Prophet Muhammad) the glorious ceremony of Dust-Cleaning the Holy Burial Chamber of Imam Reza (A.S.) was held attended by His Eminence Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi, the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi on Friday June 7 2013.

Many of high ranking officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran and religious scholars such as Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi - a member of Iran's Guardian Council and  Expediency Council, Ayatollah Alam-ul Hoda - Friday Prayer Leader of Mashhad, provincial authorities, families of martyrs, and voluntary servants of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) attended the ceremony.

With reciting some of the verses of the Holy Qur'an and eulogizing in praise Imams (A.S) for the lovers of Ahlul Bait (A.S.), a spiritual atmosphere dominated the ceremony and pilgrims of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.), with tearful eyes prayed for their beloved Imam (A.S.).

According to this report, this spiritual ceremony began with opening the door of the Holy Burial Chamber (Zarih), and cash donations of the pilgrims and lovers of Imam Reza (A.S.) were collected and transferred to the Treasury of Astan Quds Razavi to spend for the welfare of the pilgrims of Imam Reza (A.S.).

In the very ceremony, the participators washed the Holy Burial Chamber with Rose Water and then lovers of Imam Reza paid homage to this Holy Imam (A.S.).
