MASHHAD, Iran (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A treasury of manuscripts and lithography works of Sheikh Bahaee, the famous scientist and mathematician of the Safavid era, has been exhibited at the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi.
According to the reports issued by Astan Quds Razavi website, the head of Libraries, Museums and Center of Document Organization of Astan Quds Razavi asserted: In addition of Sheikh Bahaee's manuscripts, a collection of Qur’an written by Imams on deer’s skin and its deed of endowment scribed by Sheikh Bahaee, are displayed in this exhibition.
He declared: Some manuscripts belong to Sheikh Bahaee which are donated by the Supreme Leader to the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi are exhibited in this exhibition.
He declared: More than one thousand and100 unique manuscripts of Sheikh Bahaee are maintained at the Manuscripts treasury of Astan Quds Razavi such as "Sharh-e Tashrih-al-Aflak", "Sharh-e Sahifeh", "Translation of Meftah-al Fallah", "Sharh-e Athna Ashariyeh", and "Sharh-e Kholasa-al Hesab" which are very significant as scientific and historical documents.
He also referred to some valuable lithography works in this exhibition such as "Jame' Abbasi", "Meftah-al-Aflak", "Arbaeen", "Kenz-al-Hesab", "Nan va Halva", "Tozih-al-Maqased", and "Jame'-al-Moqaddamat", adding: "Arbaeen Haditha" of Sheikh Bahaee is one of the most valuable works in this exhibition that is scribed by one of Sheikh Bahaee's students whose name was Muhammad Baqir ibn Abd-al-Qader Husseini Estarabadi in 1002 A.H. and the handwriting of Sheikh Bahaee can be also observed in this work.
"Since a large number of Sheikh Bahaee's Manuscripts are scribed by famous artists of the Safavid era, this exhibition is very important." Zahedi asserted.
The manuscripts and lithography works belonging to Sheikh Bahaee are exhibited from 3rd to 10th Ordibehesht, at 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, at the entrance hall of Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi.
Astan Quds Razavi (Persian: آستان قدس رضوی Āstān-e Qods-e Razavi) (also known as Astan-e-Qods) is a Bonyad, or autonomous charitable foundation, in Mashhad, Iran. It is the administrative organization which manages the Imam Reza shrine and various institutions which belong to the organization.
