(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Israeli navy gunboats kidnapped ten Palestinian fishermen while fishing off the coast of Gaza city and confiscated their fishing boats on Saturday morning.
Nizar Ayyash, the chairman of the fishermen syndicate in Gaza, said that Israeli gunboats chased the Palestinian fishing boats while fishing only one and a half nautical miles off the Gaza coast.
He said that the preliminary estimates indicate that ten fishermen were abducted along with their fishing boats and taken to Ashdod port.
The Israeli navy had kidnapped more than ten fishermen a few days ago but released them later on.
The Israeli act is another breach of the calm agreement that stipulated allowing fishermen to fish six nautical miles off the coast of Gaza Strip.
