(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - "Ekhbariya was targeted by the terrorists not because of itself, but because they (terrorists) wanted to silence the voice of resistance," Sara said on Monday.
"In fact, the West wants to prevent the public opinion in Syria, Iran and the region from grasping the reality of the developments in Syria. They claim to be advocates of the freedom of speech and democracy but they violate it and block freedom in practice and that is an irony," Sara added.
Meantime, Sara said that his TV network has contingency plans for the time satellite service providers impose a ban on Syrian networks similar to the ban on Iranian satellite channels.
In a flagrant violation of freedom of the speech, European satellite provider Eutelsat SA and Intelsat ordered media services company Arqiva on October 15 to stop the broadcast of several Iranian satellite channels including press tv, al-Alam, Jam-e-Jam 1 and 2, Sahar 1 and 2, Islamic Republic of Iran News Network, Quran TV, and the Arabic-language al-Kawthar.
