(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - “The United States and the Zionists know that they cannot influence the direction of change, so they say the only thing we can do effectively is cause trouble, hurt, pain and suffering for the Muslims of the region,” said Abdul Alim Musa, Imam of al-Islam Mosque in Washington.
“So they hope that if they cause enough pain and suffering, then the Muslims will not be able to unite against their dying, crumbling power,” he added.
Referring to the ongoing Hajj rituals in the holy city of Mecca, Abdul Alim Musa expressed hope that the pilgrimage would be a platform for all Muslims to hold hands and work towards a better future.
“We pray for the near future, the time when you go to Hajj, you can hold hands with your brothers and sisters from all over the world and work towards this global redesign for the 21st century with its Islamic and human overtones,” he said.
The rituals of Hajj pilgrimage officially started on Wednesday when around three million pilgrims launched their journey to Mina.
Hajj is considered as one of the five pillars of Islam and the largest act of mass pilgrimage in the world. The holy pilgrimage is also a demonstration of Muslim unity and submission to Allah.
