Syria: Terrorists Kill A Doctor in Daraa. Army Dismantles IEDs, Eliminates Terrorists in Several Provinces

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - During their operations to clear Aleppo and its countryside from terrorists, the armed forces on Saturday eliminated a number of terrorists, some of them Saudis and Libyans.

A source at the province told SANA's correspondent that an armed forces unit carried out an operation against a terrorist gathering in Arab Fatouma in Khan al-Assal, killing a number of terrorists including Zeidan Masrati (a Libyan) and Issa al-Fayyad (a Saudi).

The source added that an armed forces unit destroyed a terrorist hideout and four cars used by terrorists for transporting weapons and ammo in Handarat in Aleppo countryside, while four cars, one of which equipped with a machinegun, in Biret al-Bab area.

Another unti destroyed three gatherings of terrorists at the municipal building in Basraton, around the cemetery in al-Atareb, and near Asia factory in Hreitan.

In Aleppo city, the armed forces carried out operations against gatherings of terrorists at Penguin factory in al-Haydariya, near the police department in Hanano, al-Kallaseh, Bab Qansarin, al-Sukkari, al-Tananir Square and Bustan al-Qaser, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists.

A unit of the Armed Forces destroyed 7 machinegun-equipped vehicles near Hantaya Gas Station in Bustan al-Basha in Aleppo, and the terrorists inside them were killed.

Army Storms Terrorist Hideouts, Disables IEDs in Daraa Province

A unit of the Armed Force on Saturday stormed terrorists' hideouts in Jimreen and Busra al-Sham areas in Daraa countryside and seized a large amounts of weapons and munitions.

A source in the province told SANA reporter that the weapons included machineguns, military rifles, RPG rounds munitions and stolen medicine and medical equipment.

The source highlighted that scores of terrorists were killed during the operations, adding that the military engineering units dismantled 20 IEDs with weights of 25-100 kg planted by terrorists in the areas of Busra al-Sham and Jimreen.

Terrorists Kill Doctor, Kidnap Another in Daraa

An armed terrorist group assassinated Dr. Sufyan al-Zoubi while in en route to his work at Daraa National Hospital.

A source in the province said that Dr. al-Zoubi was martyred immediately after he was injured in his neck.

The source added that another terrorist group kidnapped Dr. Ghassan al-Farhan, Head of the Blood Bank in Daraa, from his laboratory in the city.

Army Confiscates Weapons, Kills Terrorists in Irbeen in Damascus Countryside

A unit of the Armed Forces eliminated large numbers of terrorists in the town of Irbeen in Damascus Countryside and confiscated dozens of weapons they used to terrorize civilians and residents.

An official source told SANA reporter that nine terrorists were killed during the operation, adding that among them was one of the most dangerous terrorists in the area.

A number of terrorists were killed after an IED exploded while being planted near al-Adnan Mosque between the areas of Assali and Sbeinah in Damascus Countryside.

A source in the province told SANA reporter that a number of terrorists were killed and others were injured.

Terrorist Group Planting IEDs Arrested in Quneitra

Security forces arrested a terrorist group that was planting explosive devices targeting civilians and law-enforcement personnel in Quneitra.

An official source told SANA reporter that the group was responsible for planting a 25-kg IED with the aim of targeting law-enforcement personnel on September 21st, 2012.

Authorities Confiscate RPG Launchers and Assault Rifles in Lattakia

The authorities uncovered a warehouse containing RPG launchers, assault rifles, sniper rifles ammo near a bakery in al-Raml al-Janoubi neighborhood in Lattakia city.

Confiscated weapons include 2 RPG launchers with 16 rounds, 8 AK-47 rifles, 4 pump-action shotguns, 2 handguns, a NATO sniper rifle, and large amounts of ammo, in addition to fake license plates.
