The 18th Quran and Hadith Olympiad of Al-Mustafa International University will be held in 5 languages, the Olympiad’s policy-making council decided.This is according to Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Faker Meybodi, academic board member of the university, who said that those interested in taking part in the Olympiad can send their works in Persian, Arabic, English, French and Urdu to the secretariat of the Olympiad.He added that the event will be organized in the form of written and oral exams as well as submitted works by Al-Mustafa International University’s students in Iran and other countries.The categories include Quran recitation, Tarteel, memorization of the Quran, memorization of Hadiths and supplications, and Quranic-based Tabligh (promoting the message of Islam), he said.Hojat-ol-Islam Faker Meybodi noted that for the first time, in this edition of the Olympiad, contestants in the categories of Quran memorization Tarteel and recitation will also answer questions about Quranic concepts.He said a book titled “A Sip of Light” that includes interpretational points as well as tips on Quran recitation, Tarteel, etc, has been published and will be given to the contenders.The Al-Mustafa University scholar added that the Olympiad’s organizers aims to deepen the content of the event’s categories and strengthen the participants’ skills and expertise in the field of Quran and Hadith. /129
