(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Shahidullah Shahid, a spokesman for the Maidan Wardak governor, said five other militants insurgents were arrested during the operation in the Mula area of Jaghatu district on Friday, PAN reported.
In a statement, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force said its troops had killed a Taliban commander, Asad, who was accused of killing the Chak district's administrative chief.
The district chief was killed along with his son in front of the district headquarters about two months ago.
