(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Russian Human Rights Commissioner Vladimir Lukin said he would not challenge the court-ordered ban on the Innocence of Muslims film.
"Media reports claiming that Vladimir Lukin intends to challenge the ban on the Innocence of Muslims film, ordered by Moscow's Tverskoy Court, are unfounded," says a posting on Lukin's website.
"During the hearings we spoke about a shortage of competitiveness in such hearings as an important procedural problem. But this has nothing to do with the assessment of the content of the Innocence of Muslims film," the posting says.
Moscow's Tverskoy Court on Monday declared as extremist the Innocence of Muslims film, which provoked mass disturbances in many countries after it was posted on the Internet. The ban grants a lawsuit, filed by the Prosecutor General's Office.
