(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - 'The report on unwise gesture of an American individual, bearing the label of pastor, desecrating Islamic sanctities and holy book of Muslims, is condemned and renders heart of every real and faithful Christian,' read a statement issued by the Church.
The statement said the move is undoubtedly taken with a mysterious and destructive intention.
It said Iranian Assyrian Christians have for centuries been leading a peaceful life with their Muslim compatriots, not leveling any insult against each other.
It said the Assyrians' church in Tehran and Orumieh voice their disavowal of the sinister and ugly move of the so-called pastor, condemning it along with clergies of churches, associations and Assyrians' MP in Majlis.
