Referring to the Syrian unrests, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani pointed to the U.S intervention in Muslims issues and said,” the only reason behind international anger towards Syria is Damascus support for resistance movements.” “Western officials, obviously enough, ignore the massacres happening in Bahrain and are just after chaos in Syria,” the grand Ayatollah mentioned. Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani pointed to the role of Islamic Republic of Iran in the Islamic Awakening and said,” the wave of Islamic Awakening spread on account of Islamic Revolution of Iran.” “Muslims, actually, around the World took Islamic Revolution of Iran as their paradigm and stood against their tyrant regimes demanding their rights back,” the senior cleric underscored. “The spread of Islamic Awakening revealed and underscored the necessity of proximity among Muslims,” said Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani. He underlined,” We have to focus on unity among Muslims, because of effective result that can be reached when we get together."
