(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The checkpoint, near Ramallah, will be closed to vehicles from Thursday evening at 9.00 p.m. until Friday evening, with only pedestrians allowed to cross.
Israeli authorities have also tightened restrictions on Muslim Palestinians traveling from the West Bank to attend Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.
“Men from 45-50 years old, married with children and are holders of permits will be allowed to enter to Al-Aqsa Mosque, women under 30 years old will not be allowed to enter unless they are holding permits to enter Jerusalem,” Israel Radio quoted authorities as saying.
Men over 50 will be permitted to enter and no restrictions will be placed on holders of Israeli identity cards.
