(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - On the occasion of birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his glad advent) a ceremony was held on July 16 at the residence of Iranian ambassador to Belgrade, Serbia. According to Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the ceremony was held with the presence of Hojat-ol-Islam Salar, deputy of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly at international affairs and the staff of the Iranian embassy and Iran cultural center in Serbia. The program included Quran recitations by one of the Iranians residing in Belgrade and poetries recited on the occasion. Addressing the ceremony, Hojat-ol-Islam Navvab talked about the philosophy of Intizar (waiting) saying “the belief in a savior exists in all of the religions particularly in the Divine ones.” Head of the University of Religions and Schools of Thought also said “there are two kinds of waiting; one is waiting without practicing, while the other is an influential waiting which is encouraging. The nation waiting for the savior should try to become ready to host him.”/129
