Characteristics of Islamic University in View of Imam Khomeini Discussed

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The first forum on “Islamic University in view of Imam Khomeini” was organized by Quran and Etrat Research Center of the Cultural Deputy of Islamic Azad University.

The first specialized forum of the series of scientific programs planned by the center was held with the presence of Hoze and university lecturers.

 The effective role of Islamic university in development of Islamic societies in particular and human societies in general, problems of universities in Iran and the world, methods of creating Islamic universities and setting the standards necessary for opening universities based on Islamic and religious principles were among the themes discussed at the program.

 Kabiri, member the scientific board of the university’s branch in Khoy and Hojat-ol Islam Habibi presented speeches at the forum which was also attended by university students and those of Quranic fields.

 It was decided that a comprehensive set of standards should be determined by the center following divers researches to evaluate the activities of universities based on Islamic principles.

 Also speaking at the program were Aram, head of the research center and Talebtash, deputy of the center who presented some approaches helping realize the ideal designated by the founder of the Islamic revolution concerning the establishment of Islamic universities in the Iranian society.
