The humanitarian aid convoy 'Asia 1' arrived in Lattakia on Saturday.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The humanitarian aid convoy 'Asia 1' arrived in Lattakia on Saturday.

The convoy includes 170 activists from 20 Asian countries and carries humanitarian and medical aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip.

Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party, Lattakia Branch, Mohsen al-Khier, said the convoy indicates the unity of the struggle against the Israeli occupation and the unfair embargo that has been imposed on the Palestinians in Gaza and is one of the methods of fighting the Israeli intransigence and arrogance.

For his part, Governor of Lattakia Khalil Mashhadiye, stressed that convoys aimed at breaking the Israeli siege on Gaza help enhance the steadfastness of the Palestinians' will in the besieged Strip.

Sheikh Youssef Abbas, representative of the convoy in Syria, said these convoys are a natural response to Israel's arrogance policy, adding that they express the worldwide feelings of anger over the Israeli violations and Zionist racist policies.

The convoy received a mass public and popular welcome.
