(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - In response to the enemies’ desecration of the Noble Quran, Shia scholars in Bahrain have named the coming year on the Islamic calendar as “With the Quran”.
According to the website of Bahrain’s Islamic Awareness Society, the decision has been made by the country’s Shia Scholars Council.
The council has issued a statement which said the enemies seek to extinguish the light of Islam’s holy book, but all their plots will be in vain.
However, it urged Muslims to do more to defend the holy Quran against the enemies.
The council said it has named the next lunar year of 1432 as ‘With the Quran’ so that “we will be with the Quran everywhere and foster the light of this holy book.”
