AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): With the efforts of the General Directorate of Cultural Services and Publications of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the ninth volume of the book "In Presence of AhlulBayt (a.s.)" on the subject of a brief review of various dimensions of the issue of intercession, has been translated and published in English.
The author's view in this work, which adopts a Quranic approach to the subject of intercession, is that in addition to this belief, it has no contradiction with other Islamic beliefs; rather, it is itself another proof of God's absolute will, endless power, all-encompassing mercy, and universal grace, which He has ordained for those willing servants who have the capacity for it.
According to his explanation, the task of the intercessor is not to take the servant out of the sphere of the master's authority and the circle of his commands and punishments, but rather his task is to strive to transfer the servant from under one masterly command to another masterly command. Based on this Quranic research, some verses reject intercession from other than God, while others affirm it for God, and another group considers the granting of this capability by God to some creatures to be certain; this method has also been used in the Quran regarding sustenance, creation, sovereignty, ownership, and the taking of life.
The book In Presence of AhlulBayt (a.s.) is the work of the research group of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and was compiled with the efforts of Abdul Karim Al-Bahbahani. This work has been translated into English by the Islamic Institute of London, represented by Sheikh Ali Al-Hakim, and published in 37 pages in an octavo format.
