Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), In the national seminar of Quran and Nahj-ol-balaqa interpretation, held in Imam Khomeini Institute on May 12, Hojat-ol-Islam Ebrahim Kalantari, dean of Islamic Culture University, announced that university students stress to have Quran and Nahj-ol-balaqa interpretation courses in universities.
“Though lack of proper texts is a problem in other courses like practical mysticism and Islamic Revolution, this is not the case for Quran and Nahj-ol-balaqa interpretation,” he said. “We have various texts available for organizing such courses as over two thousand Quran exegeses have been written since the dawn of Islam.
“Many courses in Islamic Culture taught in universities are only theoretically oriented while Quran and Nahj-ol-balaqa interpretation can be applied in students’ daily lives.”
Hojat-ol-Islam Kalantari, however, stressed that the usual 15 to 17 sessions in a term are not enough to help students have a firm relation with the holy Quran and moe time should be designated for the courses.
“Lack of educational-aiding tools is another problem which makes their production a necessity,” he went on to say.
Referring to the national seminar of Quran and Nahj-ol-balaqa interpretation, he said its aim was to get at better methods in teaching Quran and Nahj-ol-balaqa interpretation in universities.
