AhlulBayt News Agency: First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref has described US President Donald Trump’s policies as a “blend of delusion and contradictory rhetoric”, saying Iran’s authority will not be tarnished by “ravings.”
In reaction to Trump’s repeated threats to impose a maritime blockade against Iran, Aref wrote on his official X account on Saturday that Iran would not respond in words, but in action.
“Breaking the so-called maritime blockade and the two- to threefold surge in oil exports over this period are signs of Iran’s decisive victory,” he said, according to the English translation of his English post.
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said in a statement earlier today that as long as the enemy intends to disrupt the passage of vessels and employ methods such as a maritime blockade, the Islamic Republic of Iran will consider that a violation of the ceasefire and will refrain from a conditional and limited opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
