Politico: The War Against Iran Has Eroded America's Global Credibility

Politico reported that the war against Iran has destabilized Washington's security relations with its allies and pushed American soft power into a critical phase.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Politico announced that it has obtained access to telegrams and diplomatic correspondence from the U.S. State Department indicating that the war against Iran has endangered the United States' global security relationships and damaged the country's reputation and standing.

In a report by Nahal Toosi, the website painted a concerning picture of the consequences of the war against Iran on America's global influence, citing internal diplomatic documents that point to the growing erosion of America's image and its relations, particularly in strategic or Muslim-majority countries.

The report explains that the damage is not limited to the military or security aspect but has also severely extended into the media warfare arena, where the United States finds itself in a defensive and weak position against pro-Iran campaigns that enjoy high flexibility and rapid dissemination, especially on digital platforms.

These telegrams show that U.S. embassies have been constrained by guidelines that reduce their ability to produce independent content; as a result, they are forced to use slow, official messages that cannot keep pace with the speed of the Iranian narrative.

Some of these documents speak of anti-American sentiments that have immediate and tangible effects, while others warn that if the war continues for a longer period, America's relations with some countries may be jeopardized.

The report also paints a picture of countries where the United States is losing the trust of the people, and perhaps even of the governments.
