AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Serious pressure by Iran on the American side to enforce a ceasefire in Lebanon as one of the preconditions for the continuation and progress of negotiations has been no secret to anyone, and this has been confirmed by both regional and Western sources and media.
However, Trump, Israeli sources, and some regional sources are trying to link the ceasefire solely to Trump's negotiations with the American government and the Zionist regime, downplaying the role of the resistance and Iran.
This is while the Zionist regime, before the launch of the third imposed war against Iran, had attacked Lebanon over 400 times over the course of about a year, neither accepting nor observing any ceasefire. At that time, there was no talk of inviting the Lebanese government to negotiate on this matter, and fundamentally, the Zionists and Americans did not consider the Lebanese government capable of pressuring the regime.
Regarding the manner in which this ceasefire was announced, the story is that the United States and Israel, in a deceptive move, want to present the ceasefire as an agreement with the Lebanese government, both to operationalize the forced ceasefire and to dissociate this issue from the resistance. They also intend to exploit this issue in line with their same sinister policy of sowing internal discord in Lebanon.
