The text of the message from the Society of Seminary Teachers addressed to Pope Leo XIV states: "We express our appreciation and gratitude for your wise and courageous stances in condemning the oppression and aggression of the American regime against Iran and your benevolent efforts to achieve peace, and we condemn the insult of the U.S. president toward you."
Another section of this message states: "Today, the arrogant American regime, through its aberrant and oppressive behavior and by attributing its actions to Christian teachings, is committing a great injustice against that great divine prophet and the Christian faith. Certainly, the Christian community does not approve of or accompany his crimes."
