AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), based in Washington, in a statement referring to Trump’s obscene remarks against God and Muslims, as well as his threat to attack infrastructure on Tuesday, wrote, “President Trump’s derisive mockery of Islam and his threat to attack civilian infrastructure in Iran is a reckless and dangerous act that reflects a mindset indifferent to human life and disrespectful of religious beliefs.”
The organization added, “These remarks are not made in a vacuum. They are part of a long pattern of anti-Muslim rhetoric and policies that have led to the dehumanization of Muslims both inside and outside the United States. The superficial use of the phrase ‘praise be to God’ alongside threats of violence demonstrates a troubling willingness to weaponize religious language while simultaneously demeaning Islam and its followers.”
CAIR further emphasized that Congress should not remain on recess while the president openly promises to commit war crimes, actions that could lead to an escalation of regional and global conflict. “Lawmakers have a duty to reconvene, reassert their authority over matters of war and peace, and ensure that no president can unilaterally drag the country into war.”
Last week, CAIR had also stated that Trump’s threat to “bomb Iran back to the Stone Age” was an “anti-Muslim, racist, and dehumanizing” act.
