ABAN24 - Writing on X on Monday, the AEOI said US-Israeli attack on Iran’s heavy water facility is a crime against science and human health, and vowed to continue the path of scientific progress despite the onslaught."Our scientific progress will not be halted, nor will our resolve to serve global peace/health," the body added.
Since the onset of war in late February, the United States and the Israeli regime have struck such facilities as the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Southern Iran, the Khondab heavy water complex in the Central Iranian city of Arak, and a yellowcake production facility in Ardakan, Yazd, which is similarly located in the country's Central areas.The AEOI has denounced the raids as instances of "war crimes".
The AEOI noted that this determination is immune to the aggressors' February 28-present atrocities against Iran's peaceful nuclear energy facilities, including the sites used towards advancing nuclear medicine, such as the country's heavy water facilities.It highlighted the gravity of the attacks targeting such installations, stating, "Heavy water & its derivatives are vital for medicine, disease treatment and advanced industries. US-Israeli attack on Iran’s heavy water facility is a crime against science & human health".
