Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar held a phone conversation late on Sunday to discuss the latest regional and international developments.
During the phone call, the two top diplomats exchanged their views on the bilateral relations, latest developments in the region and the world, and the dire consequences of the ongoing US and Israeli war of aggression against Iran.
Referring to the heinous crimes committed by the US and Israeli aggressors against the Iranian people and the attack on Iran's industrial and production infrastructures, as well as Iran's peaceful nuclear program under the “safeguards” as well as the continued rhetoric of American officials openly threatening to attack Iran's energy infrastructures, Iran’s top diplomat reminded the international community and the United Nations of the responsibility to confront lawlessness and the normalization of war crimes.
Emphasizing the firm determination of Iranian people and Armed Forces to powerfully defend the country's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, Araghchi warned of the expanding consequences of the US and Zionist regime's military aggression to the stability and security of the region and the world.
The foreign minister of India, for his part, pointed to the importance of efforts to restore stability and security to the region, emphasizing his country's support for ongoing efforts at the regional and international levels to stop the war of aggression committed by the US and Israel against Iran.
