ABNA24 - The text of Ayatollah Arafi’s message underscores the gravity of the current historical juncture, framing the conflicts as a "modern-day Crusade" orchestrated by the United States and the Israeli occupation.
'A modern Crusade'
In his statement, Ayatollah Arafi asserted that the two years of conflict, particularly the recent "Ramadan war," represent a complex and satanic plot by the US and Israeli forces aimed at the very essence of the Islamic Republic and the Muslim Ummah.
"This war is a modern-day Crusade, a satanic plot that targets the existence and dignity of Iran and the Islamic nation," the message read. He stated that the enemy seeks to trample Iran’s independence, absorb Palestine, suppress the will for freedom, and impose backwardness across the region.
The senior cleric emphasized that the discourse of the Islamic Revolution—pioneered by the late Imam Khomeini (RA) and continued by martyred leaders and the nation—has successfully thwarted these hegemonic plans.
'Ramadan war, a historic turning point'
Ayatollah Arafi described the ongoing confrontation as a "historic turning point" and a "crown jewel" in the chain of unprecedented resistance, noting that it has changed global equations and astonished the world.
He stressed that in this divine struggle, the Islamic Republic’s establishment, its valiant Armed Forces, and the esteemed Leader of the Revolution stand as unyielding pillars alongside the free nations of the region and the Axis of Resistance.
Outlining key duties
The director of the seminaries outlined five key duties for the nation and the wider Islamic community:
- Continuation of the battle: He called for the brave, intelligent, and unwavering continuation of the struggle for the ideals of Islam and the grandeur of Iran.
- Popular mobilization: He stressed the importance of maintaining the presence of the people and the youth on the streets and in the field, supporting the fighters and officials, and activating global solidarity with Palestine and the Resistance.
- Full preparedness: He urged the nation, government, and all institutions to be fully prepared for all scenarios and to provide all necessary resources for the sacred jihad ahead.
- Awakening of the Ummah: Ayatollah Arafi called for the awakening of Muslim nations and scholars to align with the front of truth in support of Palestine and the liberation of the Islamic world from the grip of the US and Israel.
- Role of the seminaries: He underscored that the seminaries across Iran and the world must act as steadfast fortresses, continuing their historical role in propaganda, clarification (jihad of explanation), and spiritual support alongside the nation and security forces.
'Victory is from God'
Concluding his message, Ayatollah Arafi called on the seminaries, universities, elites, and media to recognize their heightened duties in this critical historical juncture, stating that the clerics and the seminary must lead the way in sacrifice and service.
"Indeed, victory comes only from God, the Almighty, the Wise," the message concluded.
