The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman has told French President Emmanuel Macron to listen former French Premier Dominique de Villepin’s remarks on illegality of waging war against Iran.
By releasing a video of remarks of former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin on the illegal war waged by the US against Iran, Esmaeil Baghaei addressed French President Macron and said, “At least, listen to your former prime minister’s remarks.”
The former French prime minister explicitly pointed to the US-Israeli war against Iran, emphasizing that the waging of war with Iran is ‘illegal, illegitimate, inefficient and dangerous’ and has not any relationship with the claim of “liberation of Iranian people”.
Stressing the catastrophic humanitarian situation caused by war in West Asia, ex-France premier underlined that Europeans should adopt independent measures such as imposition of sanctions against Israel.
De Villepin has called on Europe to adopt an explicit stance and condemn the war launched against Iran and prevent from accompanying with the warmongering and aggressive policies of Washington.
France’s former prime minister has warned that continuation of the US adventurism will make the world more unstable and also weakens Europe on the international stage.
Addressing the Europeans, the former France’s premier said that Europeans should open their eyes about what is happening in the region and get rid of the blindly obeying US President Donald Trump and his warmongering policies.
