AhlulBayt News Agency: Sheikh Abdullah al-Daqqaq, director of the Bahraini Seminary in the holy city of Qom, has described the victory of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution as an “explosion of light,” asserting that its message transcends national borders and belongs to the entire Muslim world and all freedom-seeking people.
In a message marking the anniversary of the Revolution’s triumph on February 11, 1979, al-Daqqaq said the historic development was not confined to Iran alone but carried enduring lessons for oppressed nations worldwide.
“The victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran on February 11, 1979, was an explosion of light,” he stated. “This Revolution is not limited to Iran; it belongs to all Islam and even to all free people across the globe.”
The Bahraini scholar emphasized the Revolution’s transnational message, describing it as a living example of how determined nations can alter their destiny. “The anniversary of February 11 carries a universal message: nations will never attain freedom unless they move forward themselves. And once they rise, they must remain steadfast and firm,” he said.
Al-Daqqaq underlined the central role of perseverance in confronting global hegemonic powers. According to him, the Islamic Ummah can only overcome external pressures through unity and unwavering resistance.
“This day also conveys another message,” he added. “The Muslim Ummah can only repel the hands of its enemies by maintaining stability and steadfastness in the face of global arrogance.”
He described the Islamic Revolution as a transformative moment that revived Islamic identity and reshaped political consciousness across the region, inspiring movements that seek independence, dignity, and resistance against domination.
The cleric’s remarks come as communities across the region continue to commemorate the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, viewing it not merely as a national milestone but as a broader symbol of resilience and self-determination in contemporary global affairs.
