AhlulBayt News Agency: The secretary-general of Iraq’s Harakat al‑Nujaba resistance movement has cautioned Iran’s enemies about the far‑reaching and unavoidable consequences of any new act of aggression they may attempt against the Islamic Republic.
According to Lebanon’s al‑Ahed network, Sheikh Akram al‑Ka’abi said on Wednesday that any renewed US‑Israeli military attack on Iran would expand the confrontation across West Asia, emphasizing that whoever starts such a war would not be capable of ending it.
He warned that such an assault would set the entire region ablaze and provoke a response whose effects could extend far beyond the battlefield. He added that “the revenge of such a war would be inherited by future generations and could reach the homes and countries of the aggressors, sparing no one.”
Al‑Ka’abi stressed that any attack on Iran would certainly be met with a response, recalling Iran’s support for Iraq during its battle against the Daesh Takfiri terrorists, and noting that Iraqis would never forget those who stood with them in difficult times.
He said, “The Iraqi people, rooted in tribal values, will not remain indifferent toward friends who supported them in hardship and shed blood in the fight against terrorism and Takfir.”
His remarks came alongside similar warnings issued by other resistance figures in the region. Firas al‑Yasser, a member of al‑Nujaba’s Political Bureau, said earlier that any action against Iran would push the region toward a wider confrontation involving Iraq and the Persian Gulf states.
Al‑Yasser added that “these groups will not wait for the conflict to reach Iraqi soil; rather, from the very first moments of any attack on Iran, they will join the response.”
In another statement, Sheikh Naim Qassem, secretary‑general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement, warned that a war against Iran could engulf the entire region, stressing opposition to any move that might lead to such devastation.
These warnings came amid heightened rhetoric from US President Donald Trump and reactions from Iranian officials, including senior IRGC commanders, who have emphasized that Iran is fully prepared to deliver a decisive response to any hostile action.
