AhlulBayt News Agency: Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, has underscored the deep-rooted and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran, affirming that Pakistan stands firmly alongside Iran under all circumstances.
According to IRNA, during a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Islamabad, Reza Amiri Moghadam, the Pakistani defense minister discussed regional developments as well as bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties based on mutual respect, shared values, and strong people-to-people connections.
Khawaja Asif emphasized that the governments and peoples of Pakistan and Iran enjoy longstanding historical and fraternal relations, noting that Pakistan has consistently stood with the Iranian nation during difficult times.
He added that Pakistan has confidence in the wisdom and resilience of the Iranian people and leadership, rooted in Iran’s rich culture, ancient civilization, and historical experience, to successfully confront current and future challenges.
For his part, the Iranian ambassador expressed appreciation for the continued support of the Pakistani government and people for the Islamic Republic of Iran, praising Islamabad’s principled and enduring approach toward Tehran.
