Iran Warns Trump: Do Not Repeat Mistake of June

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, in an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, addressed the recent terrorist acts in Iran, stating that the terrorists, directed from outside, followed the ISIS playbook, killing military personnel and civilians.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, in an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, addressed the recent terrorist acts in Iran, stating that the terrorists, directed from outside, followed the ISIS playbook, killing military personnel and civilians. He detailed that they burned security forces and police alive, beheaded them, and fired upon police and citizens.

Araghchi asserted, “For three days, we were fighting terrorists, not protestors.” He suggested that the reason they fired on people was to increase the death toll and draw Trump into a conflict, which he claimed was precisely the Israeli regime’s plan.

The Foreign Minister stressed: “We faced a widespread terrorist operation from January 8th to 10th, and we consider this a continuation of the 12-day war by the U.S. and the Israeli regime—meaning January 8th (last Thursday) was the thirteenth day of the war.”

Araghchi continued: “Now, after three days of terrorist operations, calm has been restored, and we have the situation completely under control. We hope reason prevails so we do not move toward a high level of tension, as such a path could be disastrous for everyone.”
