Qatari outlet urges Arab unity with Iran against Zionist aggression

Qatar’s Al-Araby Al-Jadeed highlighted Iran’s steadfast support for Palestine and called on Arab nations to align with Tehran against Israeli and U.S. aggression. The editorial criticized Arab regimes for their submission and praised Iran’s self-reliant strength. It concluded that Iran’s power is a strategic asset for the entire Arab world.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Qatari news outlet Al-Araby Al-Jadeed emphasized that Iran has long stood as a loyal ally of the Arab world and a firm supporter of Palestine. It urged Arab nations to draw lessons of strength and resolve from Iran, which continues to confront global arrogance alone. The piece argued that unity with Tehran serves the interests of all Arab states.

In its editorial, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed strongly criticized Arab governments that remain aligned with the United States and Israel and passive toward their regional crimes, while praising Iran’s principled and forceful regional role.

Iran stands alone against Zionist arrogance
According to the article, Iran has distinguished itself as a sincere ally of regional peoples in resisting the oppression and arrogance of the Zionist regime. While many Arab states turn a blind eye to the occupier’s actions, Iran provides active support—particularly to Gaza. For over four decades, some Arab governments have attempted to demonize Iran and portray it as an enemy of Arab unity.

Iran’s Islamic Revolution placed Palestine at its core
Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran has embraced the Palestinian cause as a foundational principle, famously replacing the Israeli embassy in Tehran with the Palestinian flag.

Yet some Arab states supported Saddam Hussein’s eight-year war against Iran, at the encouragement of the United States, in an effort to crush Iran’s revolutionary model. The editorial also noted the hypocrisy of those criticizing Iran’s alliance with Syria while having themselves fueled the 13-year civil war there on behalf of Western agendas.

Unity with Tehran a regional necessity
The piece argued that all Arab nations stand to benefit by aligning with Iran. It emphasized that Iran’s regional presence is not the result of coercion but a response to local groups seeking resistance to the Zionist agenda. Iran, it noted, has never occupied any Arab land—unlike Israel, which continues to seize Arab territories. The article also rejected UAE claims over three Gulf islands, asserting they have always belonged to Iran.

Arabs should learn from Iran’s strength and independence
The article concluded by urging Arab leaders to take inspiration from Iran’s self-reliant scientific and military advancements achieved under extreme sanctions. It emphasized that Iran is the only country that has consistently stood beside the Palestinians, refused to recognize Israel, and rejected normalization efforts. The recent U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, it argued, only proved that a powerful Iran is a strategic necessity for Arab nations hoping to resist political blackmail and secure regional balance.
