In a deeply spiritual and emotional gathering, Muslims and Shiites from diverse backgrounds came together at the Iran House in Johannesburg to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (A.S.) on Ashura, expressing unwavering support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and the oppressed people of Palestine amid ongoing regional tensions.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Ashura ceremony of Imam Hussein (A.S.) was held this year at the Iran House in Johannesburg with special grandeur and the presence of various groups of Muslims and Shiites, Iranian expatriates, the ambassador and members of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and their families. The event took place in an atmosphere filled with sorrow, spirituality, and love for the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussein (A.S.), and his loyal companions, accompanied by the chant of "Labbayk Ya Hussein" (We are at your service, O Hussein).

Speakers at the ceremony, referring to the ongoing line of oppression from Ashura to the present day, described the crimes of the Zionist regime as a continuation of that historical trend. They emphasized the leading role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting the oppressed and the necessity of unity among the Islamic Ummah. The recent aggression by the Zionist regime and the United States against Iranian territory was also condemned in the strongest terms during the event.

After congregational prayers, elegies, and mourning rituals, participants expressed their solidarity with the nation and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the oppressed people of Palestine by chanting slogans such as "Death to America" and "Death to Israel." They also signed a petition condemning these aggressions. The ceremony concluded with prayers for the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (A.J.), the victory of Islam, the honor and dignity of Iran, and the health of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
