Ansarullah leader calls for united resistance against US and Israel

Yemen’s Ansarullah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi called on regional resistance movements to intensify efforts against Israeli and American aggression. He framed resistance as a religious duty rooted in Quranic values and Imam Hussein’s legacy.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement has urged resistance factions across West Asia to stand united against the aggressive actions of Israel and the United States.

In a televised address on Sunday, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi accused the US and Israel of aiming to destroy religious values, occupy land, steal resources, and enslave people.

Despite the sacrifices required, he emphasized that the resistance path leads to honor and freedom.

He stated, “This is the righteous path against humiliation and surrender. We remain committed to continuing our Quranic and faith-based resistance against Israeli and American aggression.”

Citing events in Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, and Yemen, al-Houthi voiced unwavering support for Palestine and described opposition to Zionism as a collective responsibility.

He said, “The Zionist plan targets both the religion and livelihood of the nation. We are committed to confronting it alongside our allies in the resistance and Al-Quds axis.”

He framed the resistance effort as a religious and moral duty for all Muslims.

“Our faith obligates us to resist American and Israeli tyranny. Submission leads only to ruin in both this life and the next,” he added.

He again called on resistance forces throughout the region to remain firm in countering Israeli and American aggression against Muslims.

He said, “From the genocide in Palestine to the violation of holy places, the enemy’s crimes affect the entire Islamic world.”

His remarks were delivered as large crowds in Yemen marked Ashura, commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the third Shia Imam.

“Our struggle is rooted in the message of Imam Hussein’s revolution. American and Israeli policies threaten our religious identity and seek to dominate and degrade our people,” al-Houthi said.

As Israel’s war on Gaza escalated, Yemeni forces implemented a strategic blockade on major maritime routes to disrupt military supplies to Israel and raise pressure on the global community over the humanitarian crisis.

The Yemeni Armed Forces affirmed their operations will continue until Israel ceases its military campaign in Gaza, where over 57,400 Palestinians have been killed since October 7, 2023.
