Izz al-Din al-Haddad, the current leader of Hamas in Gaza, said recently that he will either achieve an “honorable deal” to end the war in Gaza or else it will be “a war of liberation or a war of martyrdom,”
According to the New York Times, Hamas new leader in Gaza was heavily involved in the current ceasefire negotiations.
Such remarks from al-Haddad prove the decisive and firm stance of the resistance leaders in the Gaza Strip as mediators try to reach an agreement in the coming days.
The New York Times also reported that Al-Haddad spent some time in northern Gaza and is currently believed to be in Gaza City.
