AhlulBayt News Agency: Top Sunni cleric: A senior Iranian cleric hailed the Iranian nation for foiling the US-Israeli plot to attack the country and divide its different ethnical groups.Molavi Es’haq Madani, the chairman of the supreme council at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said the Zionist regime of Israel and the United States made miscalculations when they began their aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran as they counted on the Iranian nation would be divided into several factions or groups.
The senior Sunni cleric made the remarksfollowing 12 days of retaliatory missile strikes on the occupied Palestinian lands.
Molavi Madani emphasized: "All religions, from all different tastes, stood united behind the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and confronted the Zionist enemy with all their might; in fact, this unity in defending our beloved country is the best model for the future of the entire Islamic world."
He vowed that the victory of the Iranian nation will soon be achieved.
The cleric called the imposition of a ceasefire on the Zionist regime to be the result of the unity of the nation and the leadership, and stated,” The unity that has been achieved today, thanks to the courage and insight of the Leader and the noble, heroic, loyal people was unique and astonished the entire world.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Proximity Assembly acknowledged: The Islamic Republic of Iran imposed a ceasefire on the Zionist regime. In fact, the Zionists no longer had the stamina to confront a strong Iran, and with the unity of the Iranian nation, they experienced a humiliating defeat once again.
"The Iranian nation does not accept humiliation and surrender” said Molavi Madani and added,” All hostile miscalculations were thwarted and the enemies were forced to declare a ceasefire in disgrace due to the unity of the Iranian nation and the power of the armed forces."
