Israeli drone strike kills three in southern Lebanon

An Israeli drone strike in Nabatieh killed three people, violating the ceasefire with Lebanon.

AhlulBayt News Agency: In a fresh breach of the fragile ceasefire, the Israeli military launched a drone strike on Lebanon’s southern province of Nabatieh on Tuesday, killing at least three individuals.

According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health, an Israeli drone fired two guided missiles at a car traveling near the village of Kfar Dajjal, setting the vehicle ablaze and killing all three passengers.

The Israeli military has yet to issue a statement regarding the attack.

Since the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah on November 27, Israeli forces have continued to carry out airstrikes across Lebanon, repeatedly violating the truce.

Lebanon extended the ceasefire on January 27, 2025, until February 18, but Israel has maintained its military presence in five key areas in southern Lebanon: Labbouneh, Mount Blat, Owayda Hill, Aaziyyeh, and Hammamis Hill.

Lebanese authorities have condemned Israel’s continued occupation of these regions, calling it a violation of the ceasefire and pledging to take all necessary steps to expel the occupying forces.
